Jeff’s educational background showcases his commitment to excellence. He holds an Estate Planning Certificate and an LL.M in tax from the prestigious Georgetown University Law Center, which have equipped him with a deep understanding of the intricate legal nuances involved in estate planning. Jeff also taught as an Adjunct Professor at the Elon Law Wills Clinic where he trained law students on drafting estate planning documents and the North Carolina probate process. Combining his advanced education with practical experience, Jeff is well-equipped to offer comprehensive and tailored solutions to his clients.
Prior to pursuing a career in law, Jeff dedicated his time and skills as a Peace Corps Volunteer. This transformative experience expanded his worldview and cultivated a strong sense of empathy, which he brings to his interactions with clients. Jeff’s ability to connect on a personal level allows him to fully grasp their goals and concerns, enabling him to develop customized strategies that align with their values.
Jeff is a member of the Winston-Salem Estate Planning Counsel, the North Carolina Bar Association’s Estate Planning and Fiduciary Law Section, the American Bar Association’s Real Property, Trust and Estate Law Section, and Wealth Counsel, a nationwide network of estate planning professionals. Jeff is also a member of the Chapel Hill Rotary Club and currently serves as Membership Coordinator for the North Carolina Peace Corps Association. He is a former Vice Chair of the Winston-Salem Human Relations Commission.
Outside of the office, Jeff enjoys riding bikes with his wife, Kate, son, Linden and daughter, Freya on the greenway near their house in Carrboro. When Jeff and Kate can find a babysitter, you’ll find them in the back country hiking the Art Loeb trail or the Linville Gorge Wilderness loop with way too many books in their packs.
